Booking a cultural places pass through your local library enables you to become a ‘Friend for the Day’ at 9 Sumac locations.  This allows you access to all the benefits of being a member of that specific cultural institution the day you visit.  There are many benefits to being a friend of a museum or art gallery.  Some sites give discounts in their gift shops, or on classes & lecture series, maybe even day camp fees.  Each location offers something as unique as the site itself.  Make sure you discuss membership at the front desk while you are handing over your Cultural Places Pass.

Of course as with most things in life there are site exceptions to this pass. At Nancy Island Historic Site in Wasaga beach the CCP can be redeemed for a free Nancy Island guide booklet and decal plus 10% off in the gift shop.
